SkyGeo maakt gebruik van satellieten om oppervlaktebewegingen overal ter wereld te meten. Deze techniek wordt InSAR genoemd. Klanten gebruiken ons InSAR-platform om bewegingen te detecteren en te begrijpen van reservoirs, pijpleidingen, dammen, dijken, spoorwegen, bruggen, opslagtanks en hele steden.
Radarsatellieten begonnen met het opnemen van oppervlaktebewegingen in 1992. Sindsdien is het aantal satellieten en de resolutie van de beelden aanzienlijk toegenomen. In de loop der jaren hebben we een gegevensarchief opgebouwd dat 70% van het land van de aarde beslaat. We gebruiken dat archief om inzicht te bieden in de historische bewegingen van infrastructuur.
Met InSAR Monitoring bieden we een continu en globaal beeld van verzakkingen. De metingen worden regelmatig bijgewerkt. In één weergave kunnen klanten bepalen waar inspectie het meest nodig is. Dit overzicht is globaal èn gedetailleerd, tot op millimeterniveau.
SkyGeo startte in 2009 als een spin-off van de TU Delft (onder de naam Hansje Brinker), met als doel de InSAR-techniek toe te passen op dijk- en dam stabiliteitsproblemen. In de loop der jaren hebben we ons werkterrein geleidelijk uitgebreid naar andere industrieën. In 2014 hebben we onze focus gewijzigd en zijn we van InSAR-servicebedrijf uitgegroeid tot een data bedrijf, waarbij we actief producten ontwikkelen waarmee asset managers onze gegevens kunnen toepassen op hun verzakkingsproblematiek.

Pieter Bas Leezenberg
Pieter is the CEO and co-founder of SkyGeo. He leads the overall company strategy and direction. Pieter is an entrepreneur who has held executive roles in early stage technology companies, developing new products for enterprise customers in the last 2 decades. He started his career as a geologist at Shell, in the Research division of IBM and subsequently as an engineer in the advanced technology and Maxtor Corp, where he participated in the IPO. Pieter holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the Free University in Amsterdam and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Prof.dr.ir. Ramon Hanssen
Ramon is responsible for scientific innovation, quality control, and developing the core processing capabilities of the SkyGeo platform. Ramon is one of the early pioneers in InSAR technology. He has published over 290 publications, among which three books, with nearly 4900 citations. He served in the Mission Advisory Group of the design for the Sentinel-1 mission of the European Space Agency. Since 2008, he is Antoni van Leeuwenhoek professor in Geodesy and Satellite Earth Observation at TU Delft. Ramon studied aerospace engineering and geodesy and received his PhD (cum laude) in 2001 and his Masters in 1993, from TU Delft.
Jobert van Kempen
Jobert leads SkyGeo’s financial team. He brings in over 25 years of financial leadership with positions as CFO for Aucon and Nedfield (formerly Tulip computers), where he helped drive high growth rates. He started his career with Ernst & Young, doing due diligence work and covering acquisitions, management buy-outs, (re)financings and IPOs. Jobert graduated with a Master's degree from the Nyenrode Business University.
Paul is responisible for all online and offline marketing efforts and is probably the reason you found us online. Prior to SkyGeo he worked in marketing postions for Experian, T-Mobile and Ziggo (UPC). He has a Bachelor of Hotel Management in The Hague and is Marketing Nima B certified.
Patrick is responsible for bringing in customers and managing enterprise sales and partnerships for SkyGeo. He has over a decade of sales and business development experience in the telecom industry. He held several management positions at CGI (formerly Logica). Before that, he held several positions in the corporate banking division of ABN Amro MeesPierson. Patrick holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
Thijs van Winden
Thijs manages the team developing our full stack of applications: from image ingestion to database management, algorithm implementation and finally to web applications. Thijs holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and MSc. in Systems and Control, both from the Technical University, Delft. He has experience as a developer, architect and software development manager for commercial and scientific applications. He has worked in a variety of organizations, including Forze Hydrogen Electric, Web4Exposure and CERN.
Freek van Leijen - PhD.
Freek van Leijen is Engineering Manager, InSAR Technology at SkyGeo. In this role he is responsible for taking innovative and highly reliable software algorithms from the drawing board into production. Freek has been working with radar remote sensing since 2003, and has been involved in many international projects. He received his MSc in Geodesy and his PhD in the field of satellite radar interferometry from Delft University of Technology.
Hanno leads our data pipeline team, making sure that all data is made and delivered customers on time and on spec. This is usually an iterative process so he oversees operational technical customer interactions. He is also in charge of the quality assurance process to meet the high standards that we set as a company. Hanno holds a BSc in Aerospace Engineering and a MSc in Geoscience & Remote Sensing, both from the Technical University of Delft.
